Partnering with Health Care Providers
One of our goals as the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Illinois is to work with health care providers to improve areas of prevention and patient safety as well as provide case review services in an effort to ensure Medicare recipients receive the best possible care.

In our previous work with providers, we have partnered to show strong improvements in rates such as surgical care infection prevention, pressure ulcers and nursing home restraint use, many of which can be found in our Illinois Impact Statement. In addition to our ongoing work, the Illinois Foundation for Quality Health Care (IFQHC) will be working with health care providers in several new areas such as Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Infections and colorectal cancer screenings.
