Influenza Vaccination Pocket Information Guides
The National Influenza Vaccine Summit is producing the "Influenza Vaccination Pocket Information Guide" for use by health care providers nationwide. The guide provides front-line healthcare personnel with information about indications and contraindications for influenza vaccines, information on targeted populations to be vaccinated, and details on how to administer the vaccines. The Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) also produced the "Pneumococcal Polysaccharide Vaccination Pocket Guide" as a logical adjunct to the influenza guide. CDC 2006-07 Flu Gallery
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently launched their 2006-07 online "Flu Gallery" featuring educational materials for use during the upcoming influenza immunization season. The Gallery contains print materials such as flyers, posters, and brochures, in color and black and white, English and Spanish. Many of the materials can be reproduced on an office printer. The Illinois Foundation for Quality Health Care's Online Catalog is another resource for free immunization materials. The catalog contains a range of chart stickers, posters, fact sheets, resource CDs and other tools you can use to track whether or not your patients have received the necessary vaccinations and promote flu and pneumonia shots to patients in need.
